Knits & Sweaters
- Hand wash in cold water with a gentle detergent, or dry clean.
- Don't wring. Press out water gently and dry flat on a towel to keep the shape.
- Fold instead of hanging to avoid stretching. Use a fabric shaver to remove pilling.
Coats, Blazers & Tweed
- Dry clean only, unless the label says otherwise.
- Hang on a wide, padded hanger to protect the shoulders.
- Brush gently after wearing and store in a breathable garment bag.
Faux Fur
- Shake out after wearing and brush gently with a wide-tooth comb.
- Spot clean, or professionally clean. Never iron or tumble dry.
- Store with room to breathe — don't crush it in a packed closet.
Sequins, Beads & Rhinestones
- Spot clean or hand wash inside out in cold water. Never machine wash or tumble dry.
- Store folded or flat to keep the weight from stretching the fabric.
- Avoid perfume and lotion directly on embellishments.
Denim
- Wash inside out in cold water with similar colors to protect the color.
- Air dry when possible to prevent shrinking.
Swimwear
- Rinse in cool fresh water after every wear, especially after chlorine or salt water.
- Hand wash gently and dry flat in the shade. Don't wring.
Handbags
- Wipe leather and faux leather with a soft, dry cloth. Keep away from heat and direct sunlight.
- Stuff with tissue and store in a dust bag to hold the shape.
- Keep pens, makeup and sharp objects in a pouch to protect the lining.
Shoes & Boots
- Wipe with a soft cloth after wearing. Use a suede brush on suede.
- Use boot shapers or rolled paper to keep tall shafts upright.
- Let them dry naturally if they get wet — never next to a heater.
